Education:
String bass – 6 years private study
Banjo - 5 years self taught
Piano – 12 years private study
Music Theory – 2 years in college as well as integrated throughout early piano study

Experience:
Spencer has over 50 years of total musical experience that includes training, performing, competition and studio work. He is experienced in classical, jazz, rock, Christian, bluegrass, gospel and Celtic genres amongst others. He is currently involved in several different music groups in addition to involvement in praise and worship at his church.

Objective:
I wish to share my knowledge of music and performance with those wanting to learn. I endeavor to develop students to their highest potential by teaching not only instrument skills, but also placing heavy emphasis on rhythm, ear training and music theory, which is crucial to being an effective musician in today's environment.
