Education:
BA degree in Percussion Performance, Kennesaw College.
Master of Music in Percussion Performance, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
 
Experience:
Paul has appeared on the bill with Dr. Billy TaylorT.S. Monk, Jr.The New York Voices, Ziggy Marley & many other national and regional artists. He has performed in venues such as Fox Theater, SunTrust Park, Spivey Hall, Emory University, Woodruff Arts Center, Infinite Energy Center, and Riverbend Festival.

As an educator at universities, colleges and schools Paul has taught Private Percussion lessons, directed Percussion and Jazz ensembles, lectured in World Music, Jazz Studies, Electronic Music and Music Appreciation.

Paul has provided educational programming since 1994 with a variety of museums, municipalities, and organizations. He received the 1997 Dorothy Mullen National Arts Award for “The Bessie Bus”, a mobile jazz & blues program. His company Atlanta Event Music also provided audio/video production/editing & inter-active exhibits including working with the National Afro-American Museum on the traveling exhibit “When the Spirit Moves” appearing at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C.

Currently, Paul maintains an active performance schedule with Atlanta Steel Pan, Atlanta Jazz Trio, 2nd Line Atlanta and Globo Drum.

Provide an environment for students of all ages and levels to achieve their musical goals. Employing demonstration, practice and discussion of technique, style and aesthetics.
