Bachelor of Music Education with a concentration in Voice from The University of Georgia and a Certified Music Teacher K-12 in the State of Georgia (Choral/Band/Orchestra)
19 years of experience teaching private voice and piano lessons as well as a combination of classroom music, Summer music camps, choral-directing groups from age 3 to 18, and music-directing children’s/youth stage musicals. Playing piano since the age of 6, singing solo and in choirs since age 11, playing alto saxophone from middle school through college (UGA Redcoat Marching Band), and performing in musical theatre since high school and now community theatre.
I believe in creating a positive, encouraging, and fun learning environment where students remain engaged as they learn all aspects of music. I believe that the primary goal of music education is sharing the joy of music and teaching the skills needed to realize a student’s fullest potential and to become independent musicians.
