Wilma Zalabak, M.Div. I can make your church organ speak; my music is simple and compelling vibrant. I specialize in baroque, classical, hymn, and gospel music. I can do some contemporary chorded music, but not so compelling. Pipe, Hammond, electronic, and even spinet organs work for me. I seek a place to serve where I can be part of creating an atmosphere of grace and joy in worship while continuing to grow in my musical ability. My vision includes encouraging and perhaps teaching children into a love for the church organ, and perhaps managing a concert or recital series. *Trained for ten years in classical and hymn-playing piano, and for five years in classical and hymn-playing organ. I studied under the professional organist for a Presbyterian Church in central Wisconsin. *Various church organist work from about ages 14-21, some in paid positions. *Primary organist for four years in a church in Colorado, playing mostly hymns and gospel music. *A long gap in my musical resume spans the time while I prepared for the ministry, was ordained, and preached in evangelical mainstream churches. Since my current church is a “church to bless other church” and meets at non-church times, I have reconnected with church organ and classical music. *Currently one of four organists, playing for Saturday church service about once a month. *I seek a regular church organist position in order to serve the human expression of joy and praise to God, as well as to continue building my baroque and classical repertoire. OTHER INTERESTS: Bible and other reading, health, and outdoor work. Ministry, see www.gracechapelfellowship.org
