Bass Guitar, GuitarIn Studio Lessons Online Lessons
Years Teaching: 10

Education
Casey graduated from the Atlanta Institute of Music with a degree in guitar musicianship and closed the graduation concert.  He also studied jazz and classical at Appalachian State Univ., where he was first chair in the guitar ensemble and section leader.

Experience
Casey has been teaching music for over 20 years and has played guitar since age 1.  He started classical guitar lessons at age 7.  While in high school 3 of Casey’s songs were featured on NPR and he got to play at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville.  Casey has performed in a wide variety of styles from Broadway at the Savannah Theater to rock, RnB, funk, blues, county and jazz.  He has 2 books on how to play guitar on Amazon and endorses Curt Mangan Strings and Gadow Guitars.  He’s also in many local bands like The Endangered Species and Too Many Peachtree Streets.

Objective
His teaching style is all about building on what you already know and pointing out what you’re doing right.  He designs lessons based on what kind of music you’re into.  With lessons that teach the techniques that your favorite artists use.  Above all else Casey teaches you how to practice so that you get the most out of your guitar when you’re not in your lesson.
